Street sweepers lament over poor salary

Taraba Street sweepers decries meager salary and harassment by the sanitation coordinator   From Nahum Sule, Jalingo.  Street sweepers in Jalingo city, Taraba state capital have decried meagre salary and harassment by the coordinator of Taraba State sanitation agency.  The street sweepers told journalists that the governor Agbu Kefas has promised to pay them N20,000 negotiated as their monthly salaries instead they received only N13,000 as their first salary instead of 20,000. Our Correspondent reports that, Mr. Illya Kefas, the coordinator, Taraba State Sanitation Agency had earlier told journalists that 600 youth and women, know as (Jalingo street sweepers), were engaged by the state governor under the supervision of the state sanitation agency to clean the Jalingo the state capital on a monthly allowance of N20,000. Taraba State Governor, Doctor Agbu Kefas has approved the relieve of the accountant General of the state,Aminu Kotolo from the post of accountant General with immediate effect.  A statement by the Head of Civil Service Mrs. Suzy Jemimah Nathan says he is to hand over to  the most senior or next officer in command and report to the office of the Head of service immediately.

I can't keep quiet about this o... If it had gone the other way, RIP attached to my children's photo would have been louder than this. I've heard of casualties as a result of fallen ceiling fan, but no one saw this coming. Last night at about 11:15pm. Right before me and hubbys eyes, this fan that was rolling fell without any fault, sound or sign. How Almighty God arranged these kids and pushed them to one corner despite their "sleeping gymnastic skills". How neither me nor hubby chose to sit by that spot which we do most times. Neither the sharp blade nor the Heavy Engine touched them. See how they kept changing positions just within the period I took these shots. They could have rolled to the point where the fan fell. The spinning fan could have sliced the boy's feet. So many "what Ifs". Once again, Our shield and our buckler stepped in.  Abeg share in our joy.  Ami ndi Owo Jesus ake yangade ( I am that person th
