The National leadership of Chamba Cultural and Development Association, (CCDA) has secured appointment to pay a courtesy visit to General TY Danjuma RTD in Abuja, next month.
President of CCDA, Mr Polycarp S. Kaigama led the delegation of the leadership to secure the appointment at about 6:30pm on Friday 21st October, 2022 at the General's Residence, along Abonta street, GRA Wukari. Other members of the delegation are Secretary General of CCDA. Prof. Dauda lshaya Suntai, Vice Prresdent Adamawa Zone Alhaji Ahmad Sudi Abba, and Vice President Taraba Zone Chief John Mamman.
Receiving the CCDA officials, General TY Danjuma advised them to tell their members to ensure they participate actively in politcs, and vote for candidates of their choice in the 2023 general elections.
He said, they should also be bold to defend their votes to ensure that it count.
General TY warned Nigerians to guard against voting for any political party or candidate that would sustain the culture of corruption, killings and sundry impunity in Nigeria, instead of growing the economy and building peace and unity among the people.
He said the Chamba people are a big nationality found in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Cameron and elsewhere in the diaspora, saying they should explore this numerical strength to their benefits and never allow themselves to be cowed.

On their request to allow the national Executive of CCDA pay him a courtesy visit, General Danjuma said "I travel a lot, some times to Europe for medical attention, so l wouldn't like to suffer you by allowing you to embark on a journey that is tideous and costly. Come to see me next month in my residence at Asokoro, Abuja, that l will listen to you."
In his response, the CCDA President thanked the elder statesman for granting them the audience, and said details of their requests would be told to the General during the Abuja visit.
