Kwararafa University, Wukari (KUW), founded in 2005 is a community owned and promoted institution of higher learning licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. 

It offers 15 programmes at the undergraduate level. All the programmes are accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). It aims at being one of the leading tertiary education providers and a research-led University, which responds to development needs of the Community.

Admission into Kwararafa University, Wukari (KUW) is open to all, irrespective of race, tribe, religion, sex or political leanings.

 Prospective candidates must satisfy all College and Departmental requirements in addition to the following general University entrance requirements:

Admissions through 
UTME 

For admissions into 100 level, candidates must possess five(5) credits passes at Senior Secondary School Certification Examination (SSSCE), GCE, NECO or it equivalent in any relevant subjects in not more than two sittings; and obtain a score of 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

1. The University shall insists on possession of credit passes in English Language and      Mathematics for all categories of students.

2. The University shall conduct post JAMB screening to ensure that only the qualify candidates are admitted.

Admissions through Direct Entry (DE)

For  admissions  into 200 level, candidates   must possess  five(5)  credits passes (including English  Language) at Senior Secondary School  Certification Examination (SSSCE), GCE ,NECO or equivalent  in relevant subjects in not more  than  two  sittings; In addition to the above, candidates  should  have  at least two advanced level passes in the General Certificate of Education  in relevant  subjects or, Ordinary National Diploma with credit level or Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) with credit level.
Passes in two IJMB JUPEP courses out of the three.

Admission into 300 level
Candidates with HND or third class degree can apply for admission into 300level

IJMB
Kwararafa University, Wukari also offers the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme. 

It is a nationally recognized one year programme which offers successful candidates the opportunity of gaining Direct Entry (DE) to 200 level

The entry requirements for IJMB

For admission into IJMB programme, a candidate must possess four(4) credit passes at a senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE), GCE, NECO or its equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings.

The subjects offered at IJMB include: Lit-in-English, History, CRS, Government, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Agricultural Science, among others.
Combinations of any 3 subjects grant admission to study any degree programme of your choice.

 Method of Application

Forms are obtainable at the sum of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000) only payable to KWARARAFA UNIVERSITY ZENITH BANK account number 1012472423 and the bank teller be presented at the University Bursary Unit for issuance of application forms.

FGC Wukari 1994 Class Donates Modern Water Facility to Alma Mater

The 1994 graduating class of Federal Government College (FGC) Wukari, Taraba State, has donated a modern water facility to the school for the use of both staff and students. This initiative was driven by the rising concerns over poor water supply in the college. The project, brought to fruition through the contributions of the 1994 alumni who have since established themselves in various fields, was officially handed over to the school management on August 24, 2024, by representatives of the class. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Professor Shishi Zhema, the current Vice-Chancellor of Kwararafa University, Wukari and a member of the 1994 class, reflected on their experiences as students at FGC Wukari.
