Taraba State University, Jalingo Scores 100% Accreditation Success Under the Leadership of Prof. Sunday Paul Bako

In a historic turning point, Taraba State University, Jalingo (TSUJ) has achieved a 100% accreditation rate for the 53 degree-awarding programmes  presented during the November/December National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise. This remarkable achievement was announced in the NUC communication to the university released today, June 13, 2024.
This unprecedented success is a pointer to the exemplary leadership of the Digital Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako. Prof. Bako, who has an impressive background with previous work experience at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Kwararafa University, Wukari and has brought those extensive experiences of university management and leadership to TSUJ. His strategic vision and commitment to academic excellence have clearly paid off, setting a new benchmark for the institution.
This achievement marks the first time in the history of TSUJ that the university has attained such a comprehensive accreditation success. The significance of this accomplishment cannot be overstated, as it ensures that the university meets the required standards to continue producing graduates in these programs over the next five years. It also provides the continuous improvement of the university's academic values and standards.
This success is not only a victory for Prof. Bako and the entire university community but also for the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, whose support has been instrumental in this achievement. The accreditation success is a collective triumph for the management, staff, and students of TSUJ.

FGC Wukari 1994 Class Donates Modern Water Facility to Alma Mater

The 1994 graduating class of Federal Government College (FGC) Wukari, Taraba State, has donated a modern water facility to the school for the use of both staff and students. This initiative was driven by the rising concerns over poor water supply in the college. The project, brought to fruition through the contributions of the 1994 alumni who have since established themselves in various fields, was officially handed over to the school management on August 24, 2024, by representatives of the class. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Professor Shishi Zhema, the current Vice-Chancellor of Kwararafa University, Wukari and a member of the 1994 class, reflected on their experiences as students at FGC Wukari.
